How to Stop Bedwetting Naturally in 7 days? Parenting is tough when it comes to deal with the sensitive issue like bedwetting. Although parents use to share every minor incident, they are facing in the phase of rearing a child, but when they have to talk about kid’s bedwetting, they utterly shrouded it with embarrassment.

Why Children Wet Beds?

In medical term, bedwetting is known as nocturnal Enuresis. It happened in the deep sleep when urine passed unconsciously. However, Nocturnal Enuresis is a habit disorder, and it usually happens in infants and toddlers.

But in many cases, it has affected the school goers and adults. So there is nothing serious if your child is under five years, but if this continues that age limit, it’s a matter of concern and your child need some help.

Often parents lose their patience in a process to find a permanent solution to this problem. Even they spare the rod to solve the problem. But all ends up with frustration that makes the child shakier and introvert.

Types of Bedwetting and Causes:

Considering different cases and facts there are two types of bed wetting:

1. Primary Bedwetting:

In this category, the children are wetting their beds since early childhood, and they have never been dry at night for a long span of time.

Causes Of Primary Bedwetting:

 a): The child may not hold the urine throughout the night.

 b): May he/she was in deep sleep when the bladder becomes full.

 c): Many children avoid urinating while they are in playing mood during daytime and they ignore the need to go to toilet. So this cause bed wetting at night.

 d): May the child takes more than enough water after evening and thus urine production increases at night.

2. Secondary Bedwetting: 

When the child began to wet the bed after a long consecutive gap, such as six months or more, the situation is called secondary bedwetting.

In this type, the children have been dry for a long time and due to certain reasons the situation arises again.

Causes of Secondary Bed Wetting: 

Often it has been found that behind secondary bedwetting there is an underlying medical issue. Such as—

A): Any infection in the urinary tract

b): Diabetes

c): Neurological problem

d): stressful mind.

Now as you have noticed that your child is a bed wetter, you tried to stop this habit in every possible way, but you end up in frustration you feel insecure to stay outside at night.

But there is nothing to be worried about as you are not alone to face such a problem. Fortunately, there are some unique home remedies.

1. Reduce Fluid Intake in the Evening:

To prevent bedwetting habit of your child, it’s a natural way to make the bladder free of pressure during the night.

But it is necessary to increase the fluid intake of your child during the first half of the day to keep the water balance.

All you have to do is to restrict fluid intake just before your child going to bed. Also, make sure he/she urinate before sleeping.

2. Toilet Training:

It’s the necessary step you can take at the primary stage to prevent your child from bed wetting. Ask your child to go to the toilet after a certain time break and check whether he/she is following the schedule or not.

Usually, kids only rush to the toilet when they could not hold the urine anymore, which is harmful to their health.

3. Use Of Honey:

It’s a surprise that besides being useful in beauty treatment honey is also beneficial for our health and it can be used to cure bed wetting issue too.

You can make a drink with one teaspoonful of honey and a glass of warm milk for your child. It works magically to reduce bed-wetting if taken before going to bed at night.

4. Use Of Jaggery and Sesame Seed:

One of the best home remedies for bed wetting. Mix one teaspoon of black sesame seed powder and a half teaspoon of celery seed powder and one tea spoon of jaggary in hot milk. Stir well to make a drink.

Give it to your child in the early morning. It helps to warm the body.

5. Mustard Seed:

Being a very rich source of edible oil, mustard seed has wide use in the kitchen as a spice, it is also a well-known home remedy to treat bed wetting in child and adults.

Mustard seed powder is useful to reduce any infection in the urinary tract. Mix one teaspoonful of mustard seed powder with milk and give your kid to drink it one hour before his bed time.

6. Apple Cider Vinegar: 

Apple cider vinegar can treat the issue of bed wetting very effectively at home. It reduces the acid levels and balances the ph level. Thus it reduces the urge to urinate frequently at night.

Add one tea spoonful of apple cider vinegar into one glass of drinking water and give your kid to drink it after the meal. It will also solve if your kid has constipation.

7. Olive Oil Massage:

In case your child is a chronic bed wetter then massage the lower abdomen with warm olive oil is an excellent option to reduce bed wetting.

Just take two teaspoonfuls of olive oil in a bowl, heat it and massage with palm on the abdomen surface of your child for few minutes. Do it on a regular basis to get positive results.

8. Use Of Raisins and walnuts:

Raisins and walnuts are full of nutrients that can meet up the deficit of protein and minerals and thus beneficial for bladder’s health of the child. 

Therefore, give your child a handful of raisin and walnut in the morning and before they go to bed at night.

9. Cinnamon Powder:

If you are tired of trying every solution, cinnamon powder is the best home remedy for you to treat bed wetting problem. As we all know, cinnamon is obtained from the bark of the cinnamon tree, and it has hundreds of benefits for our health.

Being used in the kitchen for its unique smell, it is helpful to cure certain health issues like bed wetting. Add cinnamon powder and sugar on butter toast and serve them as a breakfast or make them chew cinnamon stick.

10. Gooseberry Juice:

Amla or gooseberry has lots of health benefits, and it is enriched with vitamin c. Gooseberry juice is an effective home remedy to cure bed wetting.

Take few ripe gooseberries and smash it in the grinder to make a pulp with water.  You can add one tea spoon of honey and black pepper powder into the concoction.

Give this to your child every day before bedtime and also in the morning to get relief from the habitual disorder.

Therefore, friends, it is clear from the above discussion that bed wetting can be treated at home with some products available in our kitchen.

It is not at a serious health issue if cure by itself within a few days, but besides this, you should keep patience so that your child would not feel ashamed or awkward.
