What kind of pregnancy precautions should I take? Being pregnant is a tremendous feeling and a dream of every woman to live motherhood. There are a lot of changes you feel during pregnancy. Sometimes you feel low, tired, and miss being agile like in your early times.

At one time you may have a lot of mixed emotions but never forget that motherhood is the greatest blessing from god.

Though it is not an easy journey as the time passes you feel there is a new life growing inside you and this feeling will flip flop your world. You will feel engulfed in the love of yet to be born baby.

The journey of pregnancy is astonishing no doubt but at the same point, you have to be very careful in all three trimesters of pregnancy.

Pay attention to these precautions during pregnancy. given below are some do’s and don’ts in pregnancy which will help you in your journey-

First Trimester ( 1st to 3rd Month)

What care should be taken during first three months of pregnancy? The first trimester of pregnancy is a very important and crucial period.

In this period of time baby grows faster compare to another trimester after the completion of 6 weeks means in the mid of the trimester, you can hear the heartbeat of the baby.

This is the first time you feel the life growing inside you by the end of the 12th week bones, all organs, and muscles of the body get formed and your baby turns into a tiny human being which is known as a fetus.

We have tried to make a bit easy for you. Here, are some tips to follow through the first trimester.

Get Parental Care

As soon as you come to know about pregnancy you should get in touch with a gynaecologist who can help you throughout your pregnancy.

Getting prenatal care during in first trimester of pregnancy is important as the doctor finds out about the development of the baby.

Your weight, body measurement, and blood pressure is been checked. Take all the medicines on time as prescribed by the doctor.

If you feel any discomfort or pain it is advised to consult the doctor as soon as possible.

Check what you Eat

Being pregnant brings a lot of responsibilities as you have to take care of yourself as well as your baby. Adopt the habit of eating healthy food and avoid junk or preserved foods.

You must check that there should be RAINBOW in your food orange carrots, yellow bananas, red apple, dark green spinach, and blueberries.

These foods are rich in antioxidants and nutrients; this will expose your baby to different flavors and tastes in the form of amniotic fluid. Make sure that the food you eat should be rich in iron and calcium.

Do Exercise

Exercises are very good for a pregnant lady, but you should consult your doctor to know what type of exercises you should do. It is been advised to practice respiratory exercise and yoga during pregnancy.

The walk is considered to be the best exercise for pregnant women. It helps you to stay active and keep you toned as well as control your blood sugar levels.

Intake water

In the first trimester, it is important to consume at least 8 glasses (1.5 liters) of water and stay hydrated. Rest properly but that doesn’t mean you can’t do any work, you can pursue your daily activities if there are no complications.

Avoid self Medication

During your first trimester, you may feel low at certain points and it is completely fine as your body make changes.

Taking any medicines with your own and without the prescription by the doctor may lead to serious consequences and can cause danger to you and your baby’s life. So avoid the intake of any medicine before consulting the doctor.

Don’t Smoke

As we all know smoking is injurious to health, pregnant or not doesn’t matter, if you are pregnant and at the same time, you smoke.

You may face the risk or keep in danger both lives. Women who consume smoke face the issues of the baby’s development.

Avoid Seafood

People do misunderstand as they think seafood is a healthy choice during pregnancy as it is a rich source of protein, but they forget that it also contains high mercury levels which may lead to the improper mental and physical development of a baby.

Hot Tubes and Sauna

Hot tubes and sauna have high temperatures which may risk the growth of the baby and may cause fainting or dehydration.

Pregnancy Precautions during Second Trimester (4th to 6th Month)

In this trimester, you may get comfortable than earlier but other discomforts may arise in this period you will feel the moment of the baby. The baby floats in amniotic fluid peacefully and the brain develops rapidly.

What should I do in second trimester?

Vaccinated against flu

Pregnant women should get vaccinated against the flu don’t worry it doesn’t contain living pathogens. So you will not face any sickness after the injection

Use Anti-stretch Marks Cream  

This is the time when your tummy will grow quickly and your skin will be stretched which will cause stretch marks and to avoid that use stretch mark cream on your tummy, breast, and hips.

Check your Weight

Slowly gaining weight is an indication of a healthy pregnancy. so keep a check on your weight.

Avoid High Heels

It is important to wear flats and avoid high heels during the second trimester as it increases the pressure on the spine. It may change the support center of the body and can affect the ankle joint which may create discomfort for the baby.

Don’t Consume Caffeine

Intake of caffeine may cause a problem for the baby as it gets to pass through the placenta and may increase the heart rate.

Participating in Sports

It is good to stay active during pregnancy usually But you should know where to stop as well. Don’t exhaust your body as it can reduce the supply of oxygen to the baby.

Pregnancy Precautions during third Trimester (7th to 9th month)

This is the time where you start counting the days to meet your baby.  By this time you get very excited to know the weather, it will be a girl or boy or what names you will keep but with all these, you should take proper care of yourself.

It is been advised to sleep sideways with a pillow in between the legs as it improves the blood flow.

Prepare your Body for Breastfeeding

After the 36th week, you should start massaging your nipples to avoid aching and make it ready for your newborn.

Check Baby’s Movement

In this period you will be habitual of the movement of your baby. if you find any unusual change contact your doctor immediately.

Know about Contractions

Towards the end of pregnancy, you may feel contractions muscles of your womb nay get tighten during these contractions. It is advisable to contact your doctor to know right or wrong contraction.
