Just add half tbsp. salt in the lukewarm water and mix well and gargle for a few minutes once a day until you get rid of tonsil stone. You can also add some honey to the mixture as honey has anti-bacterial properties. 

Gargling can be extremely helpful in preventing tonsil stone as it cleanses the area, provides relief, and soothes your throat.  

2. Drink Lots of fluids

Tonsils are typically swollen and irritated, which means that they need plenty of fluids to help them heal. Try to drink 8-10 glasses of water per day to help flush out the tonsils and improve oral hygiene.

3. Apple cider vinegar 

Apple cider vinegar has anti-bacterial components. Add 1 tbsp. of ACV with one cup of warm water, dilute well, and gargle for a few minutes. 

Repeat the process twice a day, and it will also help to cure gum problems.   

4. Lemon juice

Lemon juice is a good acid neutralizer and helps to break down the minerals that contribute to tonsil stones formation. It also has antibacterial properties, so it can help ward off infection.

Drinking lemon juice may help to dissolve them and reduce their appearance. Add a squeezed lemon into water or tea to drink every day for prevention.

5. Honey

Honey is a natural remedy that has been used for centuries to treat a variety of health problems. It is believed that honey can help to relieve symptoms such as pain, sore throat, fever, and cough.

Honey is also effective at killing bacteria and viruses, which makes it an ideal treatment for tonsillitis.

To treat tonsillitis with honey, you should mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 1cup of warm water and drink it every 2 or 3 hours as needed.

6. Garlic 

Garlic has anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties, and people believe it can help remove tonsil stone. Add more garlic to your daily diet or chew one garlic clove to kill bacteria.  

7. Oil pulling 

Oil pulling is an Ayurvedic process to cure tonsil stones and manage good oral hygiene. You can use olive oil, coconut oil, or sesame oil and swish it in the mouth for 5-10 minutes, then brush gently. 

8. Maintaining Oral hygiene 

Proper oral hygiene is highly recommended to prevent and remove tonsil stones. Use a good quality toothpaste and brush twice a day as it kills most bacteria and eliminates food particles stuck in the mouth and throat.
